Thanks to everybody that is contributing to make open-source software possible.
I see your point of view and respect your time.
Imagine you're a non-tech guy and live in a remote area, working a 9-5, nobody cares about technology but you are curious and hungry to learn, magically you got access to a device with internet access.
Your journey begins, but before you start using your device for the first time, some random even makes you loose your memory and you wake up with all the knowledge, except you still don't know anything about technology.
Luckily you snap out of that crap life and become yourself (the reader, YOU) and appear just like Jesus Christ himself, right in front of the non-tech guy, and you gently take his device and start show the non-tech guy how to use his device.
While constantly reminding yourself that this non-tech guy has absolutely zero knowledge, so everything you teach him will be the foundation for an independent learning process in the future.
What do you teach this human, craving/desperate for knowledge?
I hope this story cheers you up and you take is serious enough to answer, even if it might not fit in this thread, just like you would not waste time to tell a homeless person to move, if you could offer a job or give money instead.
Because it's serious, I'm that non-tech guy, not searching for sympathy, but pragmatic, real solutions.
The struggle is my reality, I don't know where to start.

Thanks to everybody that is contributing to make open-source software possible.
Apparently I still manage to offend people, even while trying to be as empathic as possible and search/try to learn before posting.
I love y'all.

Heh, that's quite a roundabout way to ask for basic info on technology ![]()
From your previous post, you don't seem quite as non-tech as all that, but for what it's worth - and let's limit that to computers and Linux - here's my 1-2-3:
Consider a more beginner-oriented distro
Take some free courses in topics of your interest, e. g. this Linux course

Thank you for your reply.
From what I see, you're nice to me, but I'm not asking for sympathy, even if it's nice to read once in a while, it's solutions I'm searching for.
I hope you take no offense.
I have no other choice but to write in a roundabout because most tech-guys seem to misunderstand what it's like to be born poor, stupid and uneducated in a world where technology is becoming mandatory.
Then you get stuff like this, a sorted rewrite of the arch wiki, but the topic is closed and the OP gets recommendation to start a blog.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=257187
But I understand the tech-guys too, I'm every time amazed that some of the smartest humans on earth still take the time to scroll through those forums and answer the most basic questions.
From someone who really knows what non-tech means, let me tell you, those are not basic questions for us.
Our circuits are totally fried by how modern algorithms work in social media, that are created by the top tech-guys, designed to get you hooked, addicted and spend as much time as possible in the user friendly application.
But y'all don't realize that we're all hooked, addicted and spend too much time behind the screen, be it the IDE or terminal and we're 'productive' developers or we're the end user, chasing dopamine hits and the most viral sensation.
Anyway, love y'all and I'm working on my blog, thanks for asking.
