Hi all, I am currently using GNOME as my daily DE and was trying to shift to a tiling WM and chose hyprland to start with. But have been encountering a weird issue that I get logged out from everywhere on all my browsers just when switching between the DE and WM.
I don't have an idea how I could share this problem, and any help would be highly appreciated.

What exactly do you mean by "logged out from everywhere"?
"all your browsers" (which, please don't paraphrase, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855 ) rely on gnome-keyring for authentication and maybe even put the cookie jar there?

By "logged out from everywhere" I meant all the different accounts where I was logged in just log out. Seems somewhat like all the local cache just gets cleared, which is something not expected.
> maybe even put the cookie jar there?
Don't browsers use the .cache folder for storing the cookies and caches?

Don't browsers use the .cache folder for storing the cookies and caches?
Browsers™ may, but Browsers® may not.
eems somewhat like all the local cache just gets cleared
Does the same happen if you log out of gnome and back into gnome?
Again: please don't paraphrase, actually read https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855 or I'm out.

Apologies for the paraphrasing, didn't mean to.
> Does the same happen if you log out of gnome and back into gnome?
No, it only happens when I switch between different DE and WM's . I mostly use microsoft-edge-stable-bin as my main browser and have faced this issue the last time I switched between environments too. I don't have a clue what log file could be helpful in this regard hence unable to attach the same.

Try to run gnome-keyring w/ the other session.
Edit: but I see why you'd be reluctant to reveal the actual browser ![]()

Sorry, that didnt help. But noticed something weird now. The browser's profile where it sync's data didn't get logged out, instead only the different websites where I was logged in had been logged out.

How and when did you attempt to run gnome-keyring? (Before the browser?)
Can you access it afterwards?
Did you force "--password-store=gnome"?
What websites specifically?
Did you inspect the keyring data for the stored cookies?
