How to report issue to upstream namcap? (no gitlab SSO/ not for FS).

I want to report a possible bug on namcap.

I found that the source for namcap is hosted at  https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/namcap, but I can not report issues there because it requires an "Arch Linux SSO" account which I cannot register.
Here it is explained that such accounts are for staff only.

So I reported at https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/80140, but it was closed with the comment

namcap bug tracker is at https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/namc ap

But since I cannot report issues at https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/namcap, and my issue is not wanted at https://bugs.archlinux.org/, how can I report the issue?

Regards!

Fun thing about topics from >2 years ago: the information within them is often outdated.

If you want to register an account, see the big red message at the top of the page.

Due to an influx of spam, we have had to temporarily disable account registrations. Please write an email to accountsupport@archlinux.org, with your desired username, if you want to get access. Sorry for the inconvenience.

That said, the purple message suggests creating an account won't let you add issues anyway.

Issues are disabled on Packages for non Arch Linux staff

I'm not sure how non-staff members are supposed to report bugs these days. neutral

That message applies to projects in the archlinux/packaging/packages namespace, i.e. sources of Arch packages, which are not upstream. The pacman/namcap project is outside of this namespace, it is a regular upstream project where issues are reported as usual.

I even don't see that message:

Navigating

https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/namcap -> "Sign in" -> Arch Linux SSO

leads me to

https://accounts.archlinux.org/realms/a … aml_gitlab

where I only can log in, but not register.

Where did you get your banner from?

Anyway, I now emailed accountsupport (at[ archlinux.org as you suggested.

Regards!
