Using Gnome Network Manager with PFSense

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone with Security experience will help me keep my family as safe as possible.

We have recently decided to opt out of both dns resolving and dns forwarding via PF Sense CE 2.6 and prefer using 1.1.1.1 or a combination of it with 9.9.9.9 for our PFSENSE "SYSTEM" (DHCP) DNS, and we are currnently using AUTO matic DHCP for IPV4 settings of the Gnome Network Manager.. while also using cloudflare dns from within our firefox arch browser at this time.

So we have the Gnome Network Manager DNS configured automatically with link only IPV6, as we have disabled all IPV6 within PF Sense for simplification while gaming and learning networking as a family.

Apparently our "nameserver" was set to our LAN using /etc/resolv.conf, which seemed to not correspond correctly to 3 other configuration files for system d resolving, which we think we need - call it a hunch on that one,..so we changed our nameserver to cloudflare as well, although we prefer local DNS (127.0.0.1) resolution, with fallback to remote servers only when necessary, for safety as well as sanity and as i digress:

pls advise, ty!
