Don't know how to get out of chroot (archinstall)

Hi,

I used archinstall to install arch, and at the popup that is talking about if I want to go to chroot, I accidentally said yes (yes, I'm an idiot for doing that). Now I don't know how to get out of chroot and get into the os. Can someone help me?

Just type exit and reboot, you should be good.

Re: Don't know how to get out of chroot (archinstall)

Doesn't work for me strangely, I did the exit and then it sent me to the login (still in the bash command shell or whatever you call it), I turned off the laptop with the physical turn off button, turned on, and it still has the command shell. (I set a login if it helps)

Edit: it is called the "vitural console" which I didn't know

Re: Don't know how to get out of chroot (archinstall)

The "the bash command shell or whatever you call it" is the "os" you want to get into and chrooting is a critical step of the installation.
Don't use the power button to reboot, use "reboot" or "shutdown" - and also don't use the archinstall script, follow https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide
It'll make you familiar w/ some basics you need to understand if you want to have *any* chance to actually use archlinux.

Hi, do I just do "exit", login back in the login part and then do "restart"? (In the virtual console)

And also, despite having Ethernet, I ping google.com and it can't resolve the domain, which means there's no internet, so I am unable to install packages I need.
