i installed battlefield 1 from Steam, and when i choose a server to load in,the CPU usage becomes 100% and the system will freeze, maybe the mouse is moveable but cant click anything
in my Windows system everything works fine and smooth so i dont really think it was hardware problem
Not just bf1,also a lots of game, like cs2 or even Minecraft
How do i solve this off?
edit:
I solved this out by reinstalling my arch linux!
very smooth and clean

What hardware, what load, are you running out of ressources? GPU/driver? Graphical environment? RAM?
Install mesa-utils,vulkan-tools and lib32-mesa-utils and post
lspci -k
glxinfo -B
vulkaninfo --summary
glxinfo32 -B
#After rebooting from a crash
sudo journalctl -b-1

Also what steam?
SteamOS, the version in the arch repos or some flatschpak?

Thanks for reply but i will reply this tomorrow because im in east asia which is midnight now i had to sleep,I'm using AMD Vega56,Cpu usage is kinda high, but it only freeze when im gaming, and if im not gaming, even the usage get to the top it wont freeze
RAM is not the problem,my ram got 4-5GB residue. KDE plasma X11,also tested in xce4 with no single edit, still freezes.driver is just regular amd drivers.

Please don't bloat the thread with pointless full-quotes, don't bump (edit your previous post to mend it if nobody has yet replied and you could also have just collected the outputs first) and post the entire journal and don't copy paste it out of the pager.
sudo journalctl -b-1 | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st
will get you a link to a pastebin service where you just uploaded the journal.
When the "whole system freezes", do you reboot w/ the power button?
Don't - try https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Keyboa … el_(SysRq) (nb. that you've to explicitly enable the shortcuts first and before any freeze!)
Edit: because of the fossilize errorwarnings, try to https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Steam/ … _emulation

Then read https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855 and post the backtrace of the crash, the output on the interactive shell or whatever it might leave behind in the journal.
