How to easily return to the display manager login screen.

I'm trying to fix a bug in the a display manager I use. It would be really helpful if I knew how to easily return to the display manager screen. How would this be configured?

I use niri as my wayland compositor, but whenever I do `niri msg action exit` it just exits me out to a shell instead of the display manager.

Please don't paraphrase, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855

What *is* your displaymanager?
How does it start the session?
Is it still running after the session has started?
Does it crash when you exit the session (and leave a coredump behind)?

Re: How to easily return to the display manager login screen.

Looks like the AUR package uses niri-shutdown.target to exit but that kills the graphical session entirely.

I would just replace the rather contrived Wayland session script with one that doesn't rely on unit files and instead just calls niri directly.

EDIT: it's an official package.
