Hello everybody, I am italian so, please forgive my "poor" english.
I've been using Debian for many years, but now I would like to install Arch Linux, because I like the rolling-release distros, and I think Arch is the best.
I have downloaded the ISO from this site, and I have created a bootable usb.
As I have still space on my disk, I have previously made a partition of 25 Gb, in ext4, by Gparted.
On my disk now I have: Windows on /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2; then I have Debian on /dev/sda6 and the home of Debian on /dev/sda7.
The partition I have created, on which I want to install Arch, is /dev/sda8.
I am installing Arch using archinstall. Everything's going well. When I arrive at partitioning the disk, I put the "/" on the partition I have created, /dev/sda8.
Continuing, everything's going well.
Now, when it starts installing on the disk, there is the line: "...installing on /dev/sda...."
At this point I interrupt the installation, I'm afraid it's going to install on my entire disk, isn't it? How can I be sure it will install Arch on /dev/sda8? Am I doing something wrong?

archinstall is a helper meant for those whom have experience with the manual install
if you're new to arch: don't use archinstall but follow the install guide in the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide
