[SOLVED] uid or port changes for pacman?

Lately (I am not really sure since when) my firewall is blocking pacman from working. I have always needed only one hole in the OUTPUT  chain for the root user on ports 80 and 443 for tcp for pacman, do I need a new hole now? is pacman spinning with a different user the download or something similar?

It does, since September of last year: https://archlinux.org/news/manual-inter … -required/ -- allow the alpm user.
