[SOLVED] WIFI suddently stopped working

I built a gaming PC in mid-January, and I've been using it without any issues for a month. However, two days ago (2/25/25), when I powered on my PC, I noticed that my Wi-Fi was no longer working. Since then, the connection has been very unstable, and the only "temporary" solution I've found is to either run the command ip link set wlp* down/up or restart NetworkManager via systemctl. Here are some discoveries:

1. I was using Kubuntu when the issue first occurred (a month after I started using the PC).
2. I did a fresh install of Windows 11, and the Wi-Fi was working perfectly fine.
3. I booted into an Arch live USB to install Arch, and the issue persisted there as well.
3. My other laptop (also running Kubuntu) is working fine, as is my phone.
4. I’ve tried restarting the router, but all devices except my PC are functioning properly.

Could this be a driver issue for my interface card perhaps on Linux? Again, I have installed and ran Linux prior and it never had any issues until now.

journalctl -b
find /etc/systemd
lspci

Re: [SOLVED] WIFI suddently stopped working

I think I finally fixed my network issue. I spend two days digging deep in each network layer and I isolated the issue in the data link layer. The issue was that a ARP entry wouldn't populate for the host default gateway. Idk why (maybe reconfigured switch port or even wrong ip address?).  I did a flush and also turned off powersave for wifi. But yeah.

And thanks for the closure.
