Internet dropouts on Intel AX210 when under load

Yo, so when I'm doing multiple task simultaneously, like playing on my Minecraft Server and listening to music. My connection seems to drop out and reconnect, timing me out on my Minecraft Server. I have tried disabling power saving on the card via NetworkManager and iwlwifi configs.

Here's the output of dmesg when this occurs:

NetworkManager doesn't provide anything of value except this:

Do you have multiple access points in mesh configuration? Looks like roaming issue.

I will try this now, I already tried disabling roaming on iwd and nothing happened, I have 2.4ghz and 5ghz under the same SSID so that might make a difference. PS: slava ukraini

Re: Internet dropouts on Intel AX210 when under load

weird, i have 3 different arch linux machines connected to my router with only one in my house. also gnome settings and my hyprland quickbar only seems to accept connections when iwd is enabled and does not want to go through NetworkManager. can i force my gnome settings to use networkmanager?

Re: Internet dropouts on Intel AX210 when under load

Connect the BSSID, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Networ … ts_(Wi-Fi)
Do NOT run iwd and NM concurrently, if you wanted to use iwd as backend, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Networ … Fi_backend

Re: Internet dropouts on Intel AX210 when under load

glad to report, the fix has worked! thanks seth and dimich. gnome was using systemd-networkd and not networkmanager aswell as the bssid not being locked.

fix for anyone with the same issue:

1. check if you're using systemd-networkd by running:

systemctl status systemd-networkd

and checking for logs related to handling connections to your ssid.
2. if you are run these commands to disable systemd-networkd and begin switching to networkmanager:

sudo systemctl disable --now systemd-networkd
sudo systemctl disable --now systemd-resolved
sudo systemctl enable --now NetworkManager
sudo rm /etc/resolv.conf
sudo ln -s /run/NetworkManager/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf

3. if you're in the same shoes as me and NetworkManager won't connect to your WiFi run these commands

nmcli connection show
sudo nmcli connection delete "YourSSID"

(only if you find your ssid in the output of nmcli connection show
4. if it still won't connect (like for me), you may need to jumpstart it with this command:

nmcli device wifi connect "YourSSID" password "YourPassword" ifname wlan0

5. lock the BSSID in gnome settings or nmcli (i used gnome settings, so i'm not sure on the command for this, ask chatgpt!)
6. profit, high wifi speeds with no dropouts

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
