Something OpenGL renders causes pc to crash & reboot

I switched to arch (hyprland) pretty recently (from windows), and this issue has popped up twice now. The first time I was hoping to fix it by simply reinstalling arch entirely, appeared to work for about a day until I tried playing games (tested only with Hunt Showdown so far). Every 5-30 minutes at random my system would freeze for a couple seconds and then boot back into sddm. When looking for an error, I looked at the hyprland crash report. The crashes all follow the exact same final error, I think the "EglDupNativeFenceFDANDROID" error and the "at: line 735 in OpenGL.cpp" parts may be the most useful.
After some troubleshooting, I found that I can reproduce this error EXTREMELY consistently with glmark2, the instant it attempts to render the green and brown hills benchmark (right after the jellyfish). Unsure what it's called or what it's checking but that information may help you diagnose further. I reproduced the crash in the same manner running a session of KDE Plasma on X11. I attempted to downgrade my mesa drivers and that just broke my display (not surprised but figured it was worth a shot, did not try downgrading dependencies along with it)

This thread lists (I believe) the same issue, with another link to *another* person with (I believe) the same issue. I've exhausted their fixes/solutions and have not been able to fix my issue yet.

I contacted my friend who has been on arch for far longer than me (and is far better at programming) and he linked me this search, stating that it's hyprland calling something in OpenGL which causes the hang (KDE X11 does the same). Unsure how useful anyone may find this but figured I'd add it.

Any attempt at a solution or further information would be greatly appreciated, and any more information you may find useful I'd be more than happy to provide.
