[email] mutt won't mail in interactive mode

I've been setting up my mail server and it finally works: I've installed RoundCube as a webmail engine and recieving / sending mail just works.

I've also installed mutt so I can mail from a terminal. Using the command

mutt -s "Ceci n'est pas un sujet" user@domain.com < mailmessages

mutt instantly sends the message using my postfix running on localhost.

However, when I run mutt interactively by using the command "mutt", I can't send mail. I can log into my IMAP mailbox just fine, but when I actually want to send mail it stalls on

What could be the problem?
