After updating my system on November 10, my ultrawide monitor defaults to 1920x1080 and xrandr doesn't even show a 2560x1080 option, which is what I'm used to having it at.
I have tried manually adding the resolution (as described in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xrandr … esolutions), but I get the following error when trying to set the output mode:
// Output of xrandr --output HDMI-A-1 --mode 2560x1080_60.00

640x350 59.28 I've only been using Arch for a few months now, so I might just be doing something stupid.
I'm guessing it's something to do with the Nvidia driver, but I'm not sure.
For now, I have been restoring my system to a snapshot before the update.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Or should I just wait for a new update?

Okay, downgrading nvidia-dkms, nvidia-utils and lib32-nvidia-utils to 580.95.05-1 fixed the issue.
Thanks for the help!
I will make sure to do a better job at looking at other posts in the future before writing my own.

I seem to be having the same exact issue, but using nvidia-open drivers. Also, using the downgrade doesn't seem to work for me (even installing nvidia-dkms and using the version specified by the user before me), i get the error
Fatal server error:
no screens foundwhile running my typical
startxI also feel like i'm not sure how to deal with the xorg.conf file when i have nvidia. At some point in the past I used nvidia-xconfig to generate it, but now it seems to yield a config that does not work ![]()
Could you please point me in the right direction on how to downgrade properly in my case?
