Create an AP where computers can connect to each other?

Hi!
I'm using NetworkManager on my laptop. My laptop has an in-built wifi card which can host an AP but cannot connect to the internet simultaneously. I have a second wifi card that is running via USB that can also can host an AP but not to the internet simultaneously.

My first solution was to create an AP with my first wifi card using NM-Connection-Editor  and then connect to that using the second wifi card. All other clients connect to the new AP. This way I have created a small isolated LAN, but the issue is that for whatever reason, computers can't ping each other or exchange data. I need this LAN to be order to access all other devices without networking issues like this, so that I can easily play LAN games.

What should I do?

I have followed that, however only the `nm-connection-editor` part.
