hi thx for your help but journalctl -b issss way tooo long what should i do?
Offline
journalctl -b -1 | curl -F file=@- 0x0.stthis is for journal logs and you have to paste the link it gives you idk you were asking "its too long" so this is considered the best practice
and please stop floding forums, please elaborate/illustrate your problem
edit:
removed probable noise.

first arch-chroot into your system and run "passwd" to set a root password. (Correction: As Scimmia pointed out, this won't help if you're stuck in the initramfs stage.)
Your fstab has a typo: ufat should be vfat.
Also, check your file names in /boot. You wrote umlinuz-linux and initramfs-linux.ing. If these aren't just typos in your forum post, rEFInd won't be able to launch the kernel.
edit:
striked it out., and re-wrote the post.

No, passwd won't do anything here. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Mkinit … _is_locked
amsh23, stop transcribing things. If you need to post files, such as your bootloader config or fstab, or the output of commands and can't C&P, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_o … n_services
Tell us what's 'custom' about it, and overall, stop flailing around, posting nonsense and partial information. Do you realize that it took until your thirteenth post to finally tell us what the problem is? That should be the first thing, every time.

The curl output is from dnscrypt-proxy, https://github.com/DNSCrypt/dnscrypt-pr … sions/2396 - might relate to the virtualbox environment resp. specifically the hosts network configuration.
How did you install archlinux when you don't have proper internet access in the install iso?
Also the idea was probably to post the journal from the chroot.
On top of that post the output of
lsblk -f*before* the chroot and the contents of
cat /boot/refind_linux.conf *after* the chroot.
Do NOT transcribe that. Fix your network so you can upload the output.
Last resort would be screenshots but you need to fix the network anyway.

No.
People on this board might help you to configure your system but if you want someone to maintain your system for you, you might be looking for a different distribution.
Also don't ask randos on the internet to take control over your system for crying out loud.
because i guess refind its to much for me for now
The refind config has serveral typos:
Would you say the alphabet is too much for you?
Have you tried to fix those typos?

yeah i try so hard on it

but switching to GRUB won't necessarily fix the 'Switch Root' failure if your underlying configuration (like /etc/fstab) or your hook setup in mkinitcpio.conf is still wrong.
If you really want something simpler than rEFInd try systemd-boot, it uses a much simpler configuration format, which reduces the surface area for *configuration errors.
However, before you give up:
1) In your refind_linux.conf, make sure your root=UUID=... matches the one for your root partition, not your EFI partition.
2)since you're on a VB, make sure you didn't accidentally misspell the kernel name in the config (it's vmlinuz-linux, not umlinuz), correctly fix all and make it sure again
GRUB would still require a correct chroot and configuration.

Please fix the paths first. From the images you shared, there are still typos in refind.conf:
- use_graohics_for => use_graphics_for
- aslo_scan_dirs => also_scan_dirs
Additionally, since your root filesystem is on LVM, you must ensure the lvm2 hook is present in "/etc/mkinitcpio.conf" (before filesystems). After adding it, regenerate the initramfs with:
mkinitcpio -Pregarding your question about chaining rEFInd to GRUB: adding another bootloader layer will not resolve this. The issue is an incorrect initramfs and configuration, not the bootloader itself. Until those are fixed, no bootloader will work.

thx arch forum i check this all and i boot again on it wait thx again
There's still a typo ("use__graphics_for" => "use_graphics_for") but not necessarily critical - does your comment mean to say that booting now works again?
In case and please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
