Mobile Network (LTE) on Thinkpad P14s Gen4

I got my P14s about a year ago, and after some struggling I made mobile networking via Telenor work. I could activate and deactivate it through nmcli.

This winter, not sure when since I don't use this laptop a lot, it stopped working. I set out to investigate, re-installing the various lenovo-wwan-unlock resources I could find online, but to no avail.

The frustration gets bigger when I boot into Win11 (I have dualboot setup), there the modem works fine, but back in Arch, nothing.

The main issue (as far as my understanding goes) is if I try to enable the modem using

mmcli -m 0 -e

, I get an invalid transition error message. This is the same message a got when I first got the laptop last year, but at that time I managed to get it working.

Windows registers the modem as

Fibocom L860-GL

in Device Manager, whereas Arch sees it as

Intel Corporation XMM7560 LTE Advanced Pro Modem (rev 01)

when I run

lspci

in a terminal.

I have also tried AI, but end up at thte same dead end with not being able to enable the modem.

Is there anyone who have got this working on any Thinkpads that could share their solution? It would be much appreciated!

Best regards
/Jon
