Crash with latest nvidia 580 drivers

Hello,

Since the latest update to the nvidia-580xx-dkms drivers, Wayland has been crashing after a few minutes of normal use:  "Pageflip timed out! This is a bug in the nvidia-drm kernel driver" (dmesg log)

I have an NVIDIA GTX 970 with the latest stable Linux kernel and KDE running on Wayland.

What are the best drivers for this older GPU?

Yes, no crash this morning with KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR=1.

Make sure you really have the last version of that AUR package,

pacman -Qikk nvidia-580xx-dkms

You want that to be 580.142-3

Make sure you really have the last version of that AUR package,

pacman -Qikk nvidia-580xx-dkms

You want that to be 580.142-3

No. 580.159.03-1.

Looks like there may be an issue, as the PKGBUILD shown from the webinterface is the old one.

git clone retrieves a newer version which is indeed 580.159.03-1 . The .SRCINFO also matches that.

Since the git log , package details and PKGBUILD contents through the aur webinterface are incorrect, this very much looks like a bug with the webinterface.
Please report it at https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/aurweb/-/issues .
