Hi everyone,
I am running Arch Linux on a laptop with an integrated MediaTek MT7902 PCIe wireless adapter. When i installed arch recently, i upgraded to kernel version 7.1 since native support for mt7902 was included in it; and the wifi worked out of the box till now. Now i ran a system update and upgrade and wifi started malfunctioning. The interface connects successfully for a brief period after boot or service restart, but then suffers rapid throughput degradation, drops off the network entirely, and enters an infinite re-authentication loop.

Switched backend from wpa_supplicant to iwd.
Cleared iwd state directory (/var/lib/iwd/*) and recreated network profiles.
Attempted module options (disable_aspm and disable_rpm), though dmesg confirms these flags are not valid options in the kernel 7.1 mt7921e module.
Since native support for the MT7902 was merged into the mainline 7.1 kernel series, is this a recognized driver/firmware regression with the mt7921e module, or is there an alternative parameter or regulatory fix needed to prevent frame drops during association?
