IPv6 'Router advertisment' not acted upon

I am trying to get IPv6 working on ArchLinux. I can configure it manually and then it works. But ArchLinux does not act upon the 'Router advertisment' packages transmitted from my IPv6 router. It should set up a 'Scope global' address on the interface. My laptop, which runs Mandriva, does this beautifully, so I know that my IPv6 router works correctly and that the issue must be with Archinux. Any clues/hints/ideas?

Best regards,

Bent

Re: IPv6 'Router advertisment' not acted upon

After having been away from Arch for almost exactly five years I am now back and am happy to report that ipv6 is now configured correctly.

I think the best way to show the present version is - in addition to the date this is written - this: 'uname -r' returns 3.2.1-1-ARCH

Welcome back !!  This is, um, a bit of an old thread.  Since you had no replies for 5 years, there is nothing here to be outdated -- I guess.

Even though this is an ancient post, and because IPv6 is coming, I'll leave the thread open smile
