**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****I am using Sony WH-1000XM5 device through 3.5mm jack dongle. Audio output works fine.
Kind regards,

The Sony WH-1000XM5 doesn't seem to have a mic - google doesn't know the 0b05:1bb7 device.
Does it have multiple phone jacks?
What's the tail of "dmesg -W" when you plug it?
Online
I have the WH-1000XM5 and it's a bluetooth headset. I can confirm because I'm currently in an online meeting with that setup. However, via bluetooth and not a third-party plug.
My guess is that if it's one 3.5 plug, it only is the output and not the input. But your device shows it as a USB device. Could you clarify the exact setup?
Also, if I run arecord -l:
**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****
card 1: Generic_1 [HD-Audio Generic], device 0: ALC245 Analog [ALC245 Analog]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0The headset is not shown here, either so I wouldn't rely too much on alsa. (?)
