Can't access router - Rest of connection fine

I can access the internet through my router by connecting through dhcpcd, but when I type in 192.168.0.1 I get:
"192.168.0.1" refused the connection.

When I try to ping 192.168.0.1 I get:
PING 192.168.0.1 (192.168.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=5 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=6 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=7 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=9 Destination Host Unreachable

and so on with the icmp_seq number going up

can anyone please assist me?

thanks,

If the above IP is the one your router is listening to and your connection works through this router then it may be that the router was configured to not respond to ICMP requests.
Can you reach the routers webinterface using the IP?

Have you tried rebooting the router? My netgear has to be rebooted every couple of weeks for some reason. It will jut quit allowing me outside access, reboot it and its fine.

I can access the router just fine from other computers in my house using that IP address.

No.

The router is a D-Link DI-624, but I had a netgear in before it with the same problem.

Re: Can't access router - Rest of connection fine

did you recently flash your router with latest firmware?
did you try to reset it ?
i have di-524 i started having issues with it so i grabbed the newest firmware loaded it AAAAHHHGGG big mistake i messed with that thing for a couple of days with the settings. half of them i couldnt apply i tried reseting, reloading FW i was so freaking pissed i had to walk away
next day a little calmer i searched dlink for older firmware getting annoyed again then i pulled out the swiss army knife(google.com) found this
something anyone  using dlink products should not be without i pulled all the FW versions for stuff i have & began testing which ones i want to keep
i still cant seem to get my wireless secure again only able to use dhcp with ssid not broadcasting but im not done with it yet
