Home Router Guide

I´m switching my boxes from Gentoo to Archlinux at the moment. What i´m still using are the great Guides of Gentoo. The ones of Archlinux are getting better and better these days ...

But there is no real howto of setting up a home router. What i wish to know: can i use the gentoo one mentioned below and do i have to compile a kernel with e.g. the masquerading and nat'ing features... or can i use the standard Archlinux-Kernel.
