NIS, or?

I need to set up a bunch of computers (70-120) for some campus labs, I was planning on using NIS for logging in and NFS for home folders. I just wanted to know if there is an alternative to NIS that I should be aware of for me to investigate.

never mind, I found what I needed! Setting up NIS was a breeze, I will have a howto up soon, as well as an Arch Linux cluster Howto.
