rtl8187 drivers

I've got an alfa usb wifi card which has an rtl8187 chipset. I've tried both the aur package and the one from http://rtl-wifi.sourceforge.net/ but both give the following error:

insmod ieee80211-rtl.ko
insmod: error inserting 'ieee80211-rtl.ko': -1 Invalid module format

I've removed the kernel 802.11 stack by deleting /lib/modules/2.6.19-beyond/kernel/net/ieee80211/* so none of the kernel 802.11 stack should be loading.

Has anyone else had this problem and how can I fix it?

Re: rtl8187 drivers

I just got a new system with a wifi card with this chipset. I didn't had time to really check it out yet. I'll report here any progress/success.

Re: rtl8187 drivers

I've just realised that my post wasn't quite accurate. I've tried the drivers from realtek and the rtl-wifi ones. The ftp server used by the aur package is down so the aur package can't build.
