GNOME and Bluetooth

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get Bluetooth working on my desktop computer. I own a Bluetooth USB dongle. If I plug it in, nothing happens. If I start "/etc/rc.d/bluetooth" daemon when it's plugged in, it works: an icon with the logo of Bluetooth appears in the system tray. If I start the bluetooth daemon at startup (with the dongle unplugged) and then I plug it in, the dongle doesn't get recognized; if I restart the daemon it works again. Obviousely, I would like to make the bluetooth daemon load automatically when I plug in the dongle and unload it the I unplug it.

The other problem is about file transferts: I can send something from the computer to my cell phone (Samsung SGH-D820) but not from the cell phone to the computer. I tried to bind them together... seems to work but it doesn't.

Can anyone help me? I followed the gentoo-wiki's document but I'm stucked!

To get the bluetooth working as you want, you'll have to set some udev rules. Look at the wiki

And about binding...how did you proceed? have you changed the pin_helper? what is your config?

Uhm... I've already taken a look at the wiki but I didn't found anything useful (either for bluetooth or udev rules). I'm going to search the net.

And about binding...how did you proceed? have you changed the pin_helper? what is your config?

I didn't configure anything on the PC: I've asked for pairing from the cell phone and entered a PIN, then GNOME Bluetooth asked me for the PIN and the trick is done. Actually the link isn't working good because, as I said before, I'm able to send files to my cell phone but I can't recive anything from the cell phone.
