Problem with server

im trying to setup a webserver and i can access it from within my local network but i can't access it from outside. My ISP uses pppoe for our connection so I can't just start the modem in bridged mode and go that way. Any Ideas?

Re: Problem with server

if you have router:
- did you open port that you have on your webserver 'usually 80' to public for your server ip address?

Re: Problem with server

the modem i got from my ISP works as a router but that service is turned off when i start the modem in bridged mode. I got sugestions on http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PPP … _with_pppd but a friend told me that it was able to get around the problem so that I only needed one networkcard but when I tired it didn't work. Im thinking of getting another network card and try pppd if I cant find an easier way.
