madwifi atheros AR5213

I'm trying to get wireless working for my Atheros AR5213 chipset.  I'm using this wiki to help me get it running:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless#madwifi
I've installed madwifi but when I went to run the modprobe ath_pci command I got this:

Could not open file or directory: /lib/modules/2.6.15-ARCH/modules.dep

I took a peek in /lib/modules and saw that there was a 2.6.21-ARCH directory with that file in it so I recursively copied all of the files and directories from 2.6.15-ARCH and put them in 2.6.21-ARCH.  I don't know if this was a good idea or not but I thought I would give it a try.  I then ran the modprobe command again and got this back:

WARNING: Error inserting ath_hal (/lib/modules/2.6.21-ARCH/net/ath_hal.ko): Invalid module format
WARNING: Error inserting wlan (/lib/modules/2.6.21-ARCH/net/wlan.ko): Invalid module format
FATAL: Error inserting ath_pci (/lib/modules/2.6.21-ARCH/net/ath_pci.ko): Invalid module format

I tried looking in those files but to see if there might be a simple hack I could make to get it to work but it looks like all ASCII to me.  Did I do something wrong?  I'm not sure where to go from here.  Your help would be appreciated.

Re: madwifi atheros AR5213

The madwifi packages in the repos are created for use with the current kernel packages, in this kernel26. If you are still running a 2.6.15 kernel, you will need to rebuild the madwifi package for that kernel.

I'd strongly recommend a thorough system upgrade before you go any further - Arch works best when it is kept up to date.

OK.  Pardon the stupid question but: how would I rebuild madwifi for my kernel.  I uninstalled madwifi and madwifi-utils through pacman then updated my system.  So now what?  By the way, I am running the 2.6.15 kernel.  Thanks.

Re: madwifi atheros AR5213

Use the ABS (Arch Build System) - the details are in the wiki.

Why are you using an old kernel, btw?
