Re: How to install Arno Iptables

There is a package in the AUR for it...but frankly I've never needed any more than this for a firewall:

Re: How to install Arno Iptables

I recommend to install aurbuild from AUR first so you can easily install AUR packages in the future and upgrade them, too. Aurbuild is good that it keeps AUR separated from pacman. Yaourt form AUR can handle aurbuild and pacman operations in one command, but I recommend to use aurbuild to keep AUR packages clearly separated from officials.

Read more information how to use AUR from the links on the AUR main page.

Re: How to install Arno Iptables

I issue command sh sh arno-iptables-firewall

and the terminal display ERROR: Could not read configuration file /etc/arno-iptables-firewall/firewall.conf!
Please, check the file's location and (root) rights.

and ./configure

No such directory is found.

I using Fedora 7

You need to run as root or with sudo the script. Where did you put the firewall.conf file?
There is no ./configure in this script

This is not Fedora. This is Archlinux and Archlinux forum. Check arno iptables firewall homepage: http://rocky.eld.leidenuniv.nl/

In short:
-copy needed files from source package to proper places in you root directory (source package contains gentoo, slakware, redhat and debian related files too)
-modify config files properly and check the directories in the files
-edit the init script from our package or modify gentoo's
-should work
