hp printer

hello,

i got HP OfficeJet Pro L7580 printer (http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cg … _Pro_L7500)..it's network printer

I'm using kde (kdemod) + cups. I have tried configure it by kcontrol and cups web interface too. When i start printing (one page doc), HP prints only 1. and 3. page with 3 lines of some configuration (%!PS-Adobe-1.0; %%BoundingBox: etc....) and then over 15 blank papers (sometimes more, sometimes i must stop it by pressing the cancel button on the printer).

When i have tried print test page (using hp-testpage command) i have got error 1009 (code: 1009).

When i type

telnet IP 9100 < ExampleFile

works (only ascii and  plain text..not .ps, etc)

Solved!

The problem was with perl /and locating strict.pm file/
Same as http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=35163

Solution: reinstalling perl with 'pacman -S perl' and then yes (proceed wtih upgrade)
