~# /etc/rc.d/portmap start --> :: Starting portmap... [Fail] RESOLVED

I'm trying to set up my Arch install to be an NFS client.
I have followed the Wiki and installed the current/nfs-utils package.  However, when I run (as root) /etc/rc.d/portmap start it keeps on failing.

Any ideas?

EDIT:  portmap was already running hence I was getting errors when I tried to 'start' it.  'stop' and then 'start' works as does 'restart'.
