This download is intended for the following audio devices only:

    * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro 
    * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum
    * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty®
    * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
    * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic

Current release features:

    * ALSA PCM Playback
    * ALSA MIDI Playback
    * ALSA Synth
    * ALSA Record
    * ALSA Mixer

Known issues:

    * This driver source will not compile with GCC version 4 and above.
    * S/PDIF passthrough is not supported in this driver release.
    * External I/O modules are not supported in this driver release.
    * Applications from the original Sound Blaster X-Fi Installation CD will not work with this driver.

Requirements:

    * Linux x86_64 OS
    * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi audio devices listed above.

I've a X-Fi Fatal1ty Gamer card, but I'm on 32bit. neutral

They're 64bit hmm sigh... guess the wait goes on...

I'm very interesting in trying them, but currently running 32-bit for WINE. I could probably set up a chroot jail for 64-bit, but I'm also lazy sad

Why did they target 64-bit anyway, I wonder?

This is good news, and I like that the do the direct opposite that the rest of the world big_smile Now you 32bit X-Fi owners have a good reason to switch to 64bit wink

Creative have stated that the driver will be released under both 32 bit and 64 bit. The driver is only beta at this point.
