pacman slow resolving

Hi

When I install something with pacman, the domain resolving is very very slow.

Even If I dont use archlinux.org as a server.

12:21:37 (120.71 KB/s) - `/var/cache/pacman/pkg/coreutils-6.9-3-i686.pkg.tar.gz.part' saved [2667472]

--12:21:37--  ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/core/os/i686/db … pkg.tar.gz
           => `/var/cache/pacman/pkg/db-4.5.20-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz.part'
Resolving ftp.archlinux.org...       IT FREEZE HERE FOR ABOUT 45SECS.

So its really long to download something becauee between each package i have like 45secs of waiting...

anyone could help about that?

Thanks!

Ah and even if I change my keymap to CA or CF Im always having US keyboard...

Thanks again.

Re: pacman slow resolving

Sounds like pacman can't connect to the default mirror, times out, and eventually connects to another mirror.  Try changing the mirrors by editing files in /etc/pacman.d directory.
