VMware (setup and configuration on Arch)

I'm relatively new to Arch and I have allot to catch up. After long hours googli'ng "vmware setup on arch" and other keywords I figured I needed help so I signed up to this forum hoping somebody (expert) will empart their knowledge to a newbie. Here's what I've done so far.

1. Downloaded vmware using pacman.

Any help in setup and configuration on running vmware on arch will be much appreciated.

thanks,

Re: VMware (setup and configuration on Arch)

You can also look at vmware-player, vmware-server, vmware-workstation 6 and      vmware-ws5 from AUR.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)

Re: VMware (setup and configuration on Arch)

I installed both vmware-server-1.0.4 and 1.0.3 but the first version I can not recommend.
as a Arch host I was not able to install ArchLinux as a Virtual machine. With Version VMware-server-1.0.3-44356 it works.
If anyone can confirm my experience.
