dsniff issue

I just installed dsniff 2.4b1-9 from the community repo and got this error:

dsniff: error while loading shared libraries: libpcap.so.0.9.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I fixed the issue by creating symlinks for libpcap.so.0.9.7 -> libpcap.so.0.9.8 and also libdb-4.5.so -> libdb-4.6.so

Is this a maintainer issue?

That wasn't exactly a fix. You should get the PKGBUILD and rebuild the package so it compiles against the new/current version of the library: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Makepkg
Or update your system, dsniff package is up to date.

You need to install an RTFM interface.
