PPP errors [SOLVED]

Hi, trying to connect with wvdial but keep getting this;

PPP Daemon has died;
Exit code 127
Cannot get information for serial port.

ppp daemon dying is pretty straight forward..
error 127 is not as there is no such error listed (unnless it means errors 1,2 &7
Cannot get info on serial ports is irrelevant because it's a usb isdn modem.
I'm using the same wvdial.conf as in Gentoo where it works without a hitch. I did try wvdialconf setup program but same errors persist!
Any ideas?

Hi, the error had to do with a buggy pppd as outlined here http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/7698 . I also did a pacman -Syu which upgraded pppd and now all works... now for that damn nvidia module.
