A few days ago I tried to install network-manager on kde-mod following the intructions in the wiki (the one's for KDE) and it just doesn't work. I'll explain myself: It goes smooth until you try to run the nm-applet, because the system says it doesn't exists. I tried to do a 'locate nm-applet' to find if it was a problem with PATH variable, but locate doesn't find it. I've searched the forum for a solution, or someone having the same problem as me, but I haven't found anything useful.
My wifi card is a intel 3945, with the iwl drivers. If it helps, I also have a problem with the iwl drivers, installed following the wiki too, if I run for example iwlist as a normal user I get no response, but if I run it as root they work, I've found that I'm not the only one with this problem.
¿Am I missing anything?
I'm pretty new to arch, and definitely not an expert in other GNU/Linux distributions, so any idea about what's probably happening will be appreciatted.
Thanks in advance

nm-applet is for gnome. For KDE try
knetworkmanager.
