I'm not sure if this is Arch or even Azureus specific, but for some reason or another, all of the torrents I'm trying to download sit at 0%. Even the updater's torrent sits at 0%. My ports are setup correctly and I have a fine connection to the internet. Is anyone else having similar experiences, or is it just me?

Did you ever get BT to work properly with this connection (maybe with another OS and/or client) ? ISP's have bad manners nowadays...
All design goals must be phrased in such a way that it is hard to use them as slogans to justify stupidity.

Well, if your isp is really the cause I would suggest using a bittorrent client that support protocol encryption (like ktorrent for example) and turn it on... using non standard ports is probably a good idea as well.

A good way to isolate the problem is to set up a second computer on the same lan and see if they can seed each other, if the can than the problem is from the router to the internet, if they can't the problem is local. If the problem is on the internet side and not the local side the ISP is most likely blocking

Does the tracker actually have any seeders?
Only other thought is that you probably do not have your ports and/or router set up correctly.

I know it's been a while, but I'm following up on older threads ...
Yes, I got it to work. I removed the alternative java dependency and replaced it with jre. It has worked totally fine without problems since. I was testing Azureus earlier with the alternative java by attempting to download a Knoppix CD, and if that won't max out my broadband, I don't know what can ![]()
