FTP Install - With rt61 Network card

Hello together,

I am trying to install Arch Linux doing an FTP install.
I have a wireless PCMCIA Network card. lspci gives me:

Network controller: RaLink RT2600 802.11 MIMO

I tried
modprobe rt61pci
modprobe rt2x00pci

But "ifconfig -a" does not show any new network devices.
If I remove and reeinsert the card, I get the following message:

phy6 -> rt2x00lib_probe_dev: Error - Failed to initialize hw.

Any advice?
