Can't share internet

I bought a Linksys EZXS55W Switch and connected my two computers and cable modem to it, but only one computer gets internet access.

I didn't notice the fact that this was a Switch and not a Router - I'm not fluent in networking stuff.. Can a switch do what I want? Or do I have to buy a router?

Thanks!

Re: Can't share internet

My desktop has a gigabit lan port, but I can't access the internet through it hmm if it worked I would just use the other port to connect both computers.

Have I done something wrong or do Gigabit ports and cable modems hate each other? lol
