iwl4965

I've read in a few places that iwl3945 driver or module won't be compatible with the .24 kernel. Or is it the ipw3945 driver. I checked the wireless page on the wiki and didn't see anything. I have the 4965, and was wondering if the change would effect me too.

The iwl3945 and iwl4965 modules are available in mainline starting with 2.6.24. So long as you have the firmware, you should be good to go without having having to install a separate module package. IPW3945 is still available and working with 2.6.24. Both modules will work, but using the iwl driver now included with the kernel (config dependent) you can spare having to 1) install the IPW3945 regulatory daemon and 2)having to install the module separately.
