[Solved] Pypanel Tray Icons not transparent - (Deluge, Sonata)

I use Pypanel in Openbox.
The Background of some Tray Icons (in the screenshot Deluge and Sonate) is not Transparent.

What can I do to make them transparent, like the pidgin tray icon?

P.S.
I can't remember exactly, but I think I opened the Icon Files with gimp and they had a transparent background.
I guess the Icons use the background from the gtk-theme.

I bet that comes from a bad gtk theme/engine.

If you have changed your background recently, some tray icons need to have their programs restarted or they will keep "pieces" of the old background instead of being transparent.

Yes this is true. I usually just hide and then unhide pypanel to redraw it, and everything is cleared up.

By the way, I have also seen similar transparency issues while testing custom tray icons that were too big to fit in the allotted space. However, in this instance, I don't see any indication that customizations were done, and the stock icon for Sonata works perfectly fine with pypanel for me.

Yes, you are right.
I use the GT4_white-aqd theme.
The theme contains a file named panel.rc. I had to comment one line and now the Sonata and Deluge icons have a transparent background. smile

This is the part of the file in which the line is.

style "panelbg"
{
  xthickness                        = 0
  ythickness                        = 0
bg_pixmap[NORMAL]                    = "Panel/panel-bg.png"
#bg_pixmap[SELECTED]                    = "Panel/panel-bg.png"
#bg_pixmap[INSENSITIVE]                    = "Panel/panel-bg.png"
#bg_pixmap[PRELIGHT]                    = "Panel/panel-bg.png"
}

I commented the bg_pixmap[NORMAL] ... line.
