Messed up text in Catalyst Control Center amdcccle

Hi there,

dont really know where to put it so i post it into newb forum:

I just made a fresh install of Arch on my old AMD machine. Everything is working fine. The graphics card is working great. But in the Control Center (amdcccle) the text is messed up. Everything is just little squares. Instead of text, just little Suares. (Bigger Squares for bigger text...)

Anyone an idea? I can post Screenshots tomorrow if necessary!

Thx!

regards

Re: Messed up text in Catalyst Control Center amdcccle

Hi there

Just did an Arch install and got the same problems. I installed the fonts as stated here.
i.e.

pacman -S ttf-ms-fonts ttf-cheapskate artwiz-fonts

That did the trick for me. Hope that helps.

Hello,

I know this is an extremely old thread. but i currently have this same problem with amdcccle running 2.6.39 and catalyst with a 5770..

attached is screenshot...

at first i thought it was QT(and maybe it is) but amdcccle is the only application suffering from this problem...

any help is much apreciated..

smelly, Welcome to the Arch Forums.

This thread is more than 3 years old. Many things have changed since and things that applied in 2008 may or may not apply any longer.

Please do not necrobump threads. Instead start a new thread with all the relevant information and link to this thread in order to let others know what you have already tried in fixing the problem.
