arch internet blocked

Hey, i just installed arch linux into one of my partitions. I tried to setup my bcm4311 dell wifi card but nothing seems to be working. dhcpcd times out and dhclient says that it connected but trying to pacman -Sy or ping google.com does not work.  I tried using chroot to get into the partition from another distro I have installed. But the internet doesn't work from chroot either. Which is odd because in the past it used to. FYI I changed the /etc/hosts file to myhost instead of localhost, I wonder if that has an effect. Any ideas?

Re: arch internet blocked

hmm, I added the line from /etc/resolv.conf from my running ubuntu system and it made my chroot environment work. I thought this was something that would be generated automatically????

Re: arch internet blocked

How did you get the card to work, ihavenoname? I have the same card and I'm struggling with it. I can connect to a network but I can't actually browse anywhere or ping anything. Did you take any extra steps that might have an effect?
