Sony Ericsson t68i SMS Gateway

Hi all

Last week I found an old SE t68i and a matching data cable in a drawer. Obviously this calls for some experiments smile I would like to connect the phone to my Arch server, and for instance make it possible to SMS 'uptime' to the server and the server responds with it's uptime. However I don't really know where to start - or even if SMS Gateway is the right term for this kind of thing.

I've been looking at gnokii and kannel, but don't know if thats what I need. I was hoping someone in here had tried something similar, and could give me a push in the right direction.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Sony Ericsson t68i SMS Gateway

If you want to do more than just knowing uptime, try Nagios.

Check out this FAQ entry on SMS.

Here's a list of SMS software and gateways for linux.
