I'd just like to know how to upload files automatically to a site via ftp. It seems like it would be easy enough to do, just having a folder that's contents would automatically be sent to the site everytime any changes are made to it.
I'm currently using thunar, but that really doesn't matter at all to me, I'm just used to using it packaged with XFCE...
Thanks,
Jacques

Well doing this on a random folder without a specific application is not just "easy enough".
I would recommend using for example LUFS, Linux UserLand Filesystem or FuseFTP. This can mount a path on an FTP to a local folder.
There is a good wiki page on the archlinux wiki located here http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/FtpFs
I believe that would solve your request correct?

curlftpfs is missing from that wiki page, and is better than the other options mentioned IMO. It's in the AUR.
