index of newbie questions....

Ok i know i gotta read the tutorials and the wikis but i think i'll need your help with some things for now.

Here it goes..

1) Fonts really suck. How do i install/upgrade fonts? The main problem is on Firefox, they are so weird....

2) I mounted my data partiitons but i cant seem to play HD videos. How do i install codecs? Which program should i use?

3) On my file explorer i keep getting separate windows, but i dont like that. Where do i change it?

2) try mplayer.  It is command line but there are guis for it

3) what program is your file explorer?
