ipw2200 can not connect to WEP AP

Hi I have problem to connect to AP using WEP encrypting.

I tried to use networkmanager and netcfg2 or only iwconfig. Via iwconfig It seems that I was able to connect to the network but when I ran

dhclient eth1

I am not able to obtain IP and getting this messages:

Listening on LPF/eth1/00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Sending on LPF/eth1/00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Sending on Socket/fallback
DHCPDISCOVER on eth1 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4
DHCPOFFER from 192.168.100.2
DHCPREQUEST on eth1 to 255.255.255.255 port 67
DHCPACK from 192.168.100.2
no expiry time on offered lease.

iwconfig eth1 gives this output

eth1 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"name"
          Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: 00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
          Bit Rate:54 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm Sensitivity=8/0
          Retry limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:1029-3847-56 Security mode:open
          Power Management:off
Link Quality=94/100 Signal level=-21 dBm Noise level=-90 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:13 Missed beacon:1

any idea what is wrong?

So I found in sources of dhclient.c this comment

/* XXX this is going to be bad - if this _does_
XXX happen, we should probably dynamically
XXX disqualify the DHCP server that gave us the
XXX bad packet from future selections and
XXX then go back into the init state. */

so it seems that the problem is with router than with my wifi adapter.

please can moderator move this topis to "Laptop issues"?
