[SOLVED] firestarter problem

I'm using firestarter to configure my firewall and I'm having problems seeing my 1 TB (formated in ntfs) network HD. My Arch Linux box is part of a Windows network where also my network HD is and I can't see the HD when Firestarter (the firewall) is running. I've opened up for the Samba ports but still I can't see it. The minute I turn of the firewall (stop Firestarter) I can see the drive and connect to it. Is there something I'm missing to configure?

Regards

André

EDIT: Finally solved this. I just needed to add the IP address for the network HD under "inbound traffic" in firestarter smile.

Re: [SOLVED] firestarter problem

If anybody can recommend a better firewall than Firestarter please do (preferably with a GUI) because Firestarter hasn't been updated in a long long time.

Re: [SOLVED] firestarter problem

Firestarter is a gui front end to iptables.  The wiki page for firewalls has some suggestions and links:  http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Firewalls.

That I know already but I still don't understand why I can't see the network HD when the firewall is running.
