Searched forums, WIKI, etc. and did not find anything that seemed relevant.
I think there may be an issue with the slapd daemon script that comes with OpenLDAP slapd 2.3.39 from the pacman extra repository. Basically, once you download OpenLDAP and configure for a very, very basic LDAP server, then attempt to start it -- the script shows that the server starts successfully, however, I can't find the process with ps ax | grep slapd. Am I doing something wrong, or is there an error with this package? Anyone else experienced this? I just wanted to check to see if this is a knows issue before I create my own package for openldap. Thanks for the help!
